Consonus Pharmacy is a closed-door long-term care pharmacy specializing in the needs of nursing facilities, assisted living residents, and their caregivers. We are currently hiring a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team!

As the Medical Billing Specialist you will verify insurance eligibility and benefits, process and reconcile claims, perform transaction entry of vaccination administration claims, resolve denial instances, seek maximum reimbursement for provided services, conduct routine reporting of billing status, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - External

• Knowledge of PPO/HMO/Medicare/Medicaid; vaccination and flu billing
• Experience with ICD-10/CPT Codes, CMS 1500 forms, EOBs, EOPs, and denials
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with increased attention to detail
