Job Summary: The Billing Specialist will be responsible for submitting claims directly to insurance companies as well as patient billing. This position will align with VOB in order to meet full time employee hours. This position is part-time.

Job Duties and Competencies:

• Perform posting charges.
• Perform completion of claims to payers.
• Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion.
• Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers.
• Process claims.
• Resolve denial instances.
• Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided.
• Deploy, maintain and report on various programs.
• Conduct audits.
• VOB may be required.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
• Adheres to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Attends in-service training, when necessary.
• Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Director

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• At least 1 year experience in Medical/Behavioral Health Collections
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong customer/client focus
• Strong organizational skills
