Box Mezz Operator (1st & 2nd Shift) Job at Dole Food Company, Inc.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
This position is responsible for the daily set up and operation of box machines to ensure the appropriate box is made and the production lines operate without delay.
Required Skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Communicate with packaging to determine required changeovers and replenishments
- Operate box making machinery and fill with flat stock
- Transport pallets of box stock with pallet jack
- Keep area clean and free from debris
- Make boxes manually
- Replenish glue dispenser
- Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor
Required Experience
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
- EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a food processing facility is desired, but not required. Willing to train.
- SKILLS: Good oral communication skills required. Mechanical experience desired.
- ADDITIONAL: Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Required to work independently and with limited supervision. Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures.
