Division Overview
Hubbell Commercial & Industrial (HCI) provides solutions for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, commercial and industrial applications along with high-voltage test and measurement solutions. Position Overview
Primary role of the Brand Manager (BM) is to develop and execute all product line strategies associated with growing the brand. BM should have the ability to think strategically and work with Product Managers to identify and develop new markets and product opportunities. The BM role communicates daily with end users, rep agents, regional managers, customer partners, internal departments, and VP’s. The BM is responsible for all pricing/margin activities and will work directly with the VP of Sales to exceed profitability and revenue objectives for the assigned product brand/business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The BM ultimately owns, drives, and executes the overall brand strategy for assigned products
  • Guide and effectively manage product management team to complete all marketing activities, packaging and support functions
  • Supervise pricing team members to drive profitability and sales goals
  • Execute and manage the entire NPD process and product life cycle of existing products
  • The BM’s team will develop and distribute specific sales reports and tracking tools needed to effectively market and drive product line sales
  • Guide/lead the Digital Resource Team to keep the website up to date as well as print catalog associated with assigned brand
  • Assist customers and Hubbell team in the cross referencing of competitor products when needed
  • Collaborate with customers in problem solving and responding to product application inquires
  • Support business team in the development of Power Point presentations to successfully capture new business
  • Work closely with VP of Sales to develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs
  • Oversee all product marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis and general sales support
  • Identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
  • BM will work closely with operations team to achieve assigned service, inventory, and quality objectives to ensure industry leading service levels are maintained in all channels
  • BM will be measured on supporting and developing all channels to market
  • BM will is responsible for overall cost and margin enhancement of assigned product line

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to think analytically and poses sharp problem solving skills
  • Have a strong understanding of financial statements and be able to effectively interpret a P&L statement
  • 5 to 7 years' experience in Product Manager roles within the electrical industry or similar industry preferred
  • Comfortable speaking to customers and engaging large groups
  • PC skills require working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel programs
  • Ability to travel 30%
  • Self starter, able to adapt in fast paced environment, and capable of managing multiple projects at once

Education

Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Engineering General
