Newhaven Display is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to work with our Facilities Manager, handling the general maintenance and upkeep of our building and two properties. This person should take pride in their work and ensure that Newhaven Display’s environment is fully functional, clean, and safe for our team. You will help to maintain building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining Newhaven Display and Bushwood properties including, but not limited to, lawn care, snow removal, and landscaping
• Maintain & clean equipment such as weed whackers, lawn mowers, 4-wheeler, golf cart, truck, bobcat, trailers, etc.
• Clean inside & outside windows of building
• Clean windowsills via power washing
• Clean epoxy & concrete floors with floor scrubber
• Maintain VCT floors (6-month cleaning followed by annual refinishing)
• Replace light bulbs inside & outside of building including light pole and building sign lighting
• Perform light electrical or plumbing maintenance as needed
• Power wash patio's, garage and dock areas as needed
• Perform occasional internal maintenance such as painting or drywalling repairs
• Schedule & work with various contractors (such as HVAC, Sprinkler, Backflow, etc) on routine maintenance
• Perform routine maintenance on slider and garage doors as needed
• Plant and trim trees & bushes, clean and refresh mulch beds
• Maintain and keep clean the waterfall and any other water features on the property
• Trim pond banks and perform weed control in pond
• Maintain supplies for kitchen & restrooms and maintain an inventory of supplies
• Remove trash around property plus weekly removal of trash & recycling materials
• Perform pickups and deliveries as needed
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Effective communication skills
• Proven experience getting along with co-workers, supervisors and building occupants
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Independent and logical thinking
• Dependable
• Self-motivated
• Strong time management
• Good driving record
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, capable of standing/sitting for long periods of time and flexible enough for bending and reaching.
