The Property Management Department consists of the following programs: Building Management, Property Acquisition, Construction Services, Survey, Replacement and Renewal Projects, as well as Records, Sustainability, and Grounds Maintenance.

As a Building Trades Worker, you will be assigned the day-to-day tasks, that will consist of numerous skilled trades duties and responsibilities. Our focus of Importance is working SAFE and SMART all while keeping our customers in mind and assuring the work order requests are met. We strive to work as a team and share our ideas for optimum efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Description

What You Will Do


  • Need to have general knowledge of electricity 120v-240v.
  • Ability to repair or replace overhead lighting, switches, and receptacles.
  • Plumbing to include but not limited to general knowledge, toilet & faucet repair or replacement.
  • Air Conditioning filter replacement.
  • Lawn sprinkler repair and time clock knowledge.
  • Minor drywall work, texturing and painting.
  • Minimal yard work to include mowing, weed eating, blowing and trimming of shrubbery.
  • Ability to lift 50lb on you own or 100lb with assistance.

Who You Are
  • Knowledge of modern (within the last 5 years) procedures and techniques used in area of assignment; knowledge of codes, rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to area of assignment.
  • Knowledge of the type of construction and maintenance used in various types of buildings, equipment, facilities, systems, and grounds.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards associated with area of assignment; knowledge of, and ability to safely apply, pertinent safety measures and precautions.
  • Ability to respond to emergency and after-hours calls on nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills


  • High school graduate/equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years skilled trades work experience (related to area of assignment) in commercial building construction, maintenance, and repair.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Desired Skills
  • Vocational training certification in skilled trade(s) related to area of assignment (i.e., commercial plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, painting, etc.).
