The Aleut Federal Technology Services Group (TSG) will be offering an entry Business Application Analyst (Salesforce) position in our Anchorage Headquarters. This position is ideal for any shareholder or descendent who is interested in making a career for themselves in the technology industry. Fundamental to any technology career is gaining training and experience with design, build, deploy of corporate solutions (specifically with the Salesforce Platform). The position is designed to support the development of college students or graduates entering a technology field of study.

POSITION SUMMARY

As Business Application Analyst (Salesforce), you’ll play a vital role at Aleut. We are looking for a proactive individual that can help us continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform, gathering requirements and feedback and designing best practice solutions. Our Salesforce user experience is of great importance to us; therefore the analyst should enjoy all aspects of user management including support tickets, training, and designing solutions with user satisfaction a priority. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to learn and understanding of the Salesforce platform and a desire to keep learning. You should be comfortable liaising with users and enjoy learning new business processes in order to translate them into technical solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Create, implement, and apply development operational principles, processes, and culture
  • Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to Application processes and tools
  • Support operational software engineering practices such as unit testing, code reviews, full build testing, quality engineering practices and requirements capturing techniques to the teams to improve end to end secure delivery practices
  • All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups
  • Identify and gather requirements from users and stakeholders
  • Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards and reports
  • Monitor user adoption
  • Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high-quality, documented and support transition of operational activities
  • Answer and Address user support tickets
  • User training and creating training materials

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Information Technology or related field desired

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Strong computer skills + Software experience
  • Highly proficient using Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn new software and be comfortable with development life-cycle
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Experience using Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available for standby assignments and work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required
  • Must occasionally be available for additional work hours
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
