Creative Corrections is looking for a dynamic Business Development Assistant who will be responsible for conducting research, identifying new business opportunities, assist with writing business proposals and budgets, and creating company branding material. The successful candidate will be resourceful, organized, and motivated to assist in the development of new business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and generation of new business in the fields of Corrections, Law Enforcement, Rule of Law, Security, and other areas as needed.
  • Monitor applicable websites for new business opportunities and solicitations.
  • Analyze contract solicitations to determine scope of work and staffing needs.
  • Initiate the proposal writing process and make initial contact with key personnel.
  • Develop, coordinate and support writing proposals and proposal budgets from start to finish.
  • Ensure proposal documents are compliant and deadlines are met.
  • Utilize creative writing to assist in producing contract-winning proposals.
  • Demonstrate creativity in writing and developing materials such as resumes, course brochures, company brochures, capability statements, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Package and apply Company branding to proposals and materials.
  • Prioritize and efficiently manage multiple concurrent activities/assignments of varying complexity, including changing priorities and short turn-around times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Capable of passing a preliminary security check.
  • Advanced user of SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media.
    • Excel: Building Spreadsheets and Workbooks, Building Pivot Table/Formulas, Building Reference and Look-up Tables/Formulas
    • Word: Letter Writing Structure, Perform Mail Merges, Basic Graphic Designs
    • PowerPoint: Designing Presentations, Designing Pamphlets/Handouts, Ability to work with graphics-designing, cutting/pasting
    • ADOBE/PDF: Drafting/editing documents, Combining documents, Overall Usage
    • SharePoint: Building Pages, Managing Documents, Information and Folders, Private vs Public Folders
    • Social Media: Familiarity with social media such as LinkedIn and how to post news items
  • Understand basic accounting with the ability to utilize Excel to assist with budgets.
  • Must be able to work with a Web designer to update the Creative Corrections Website on a regular basis
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with employees, management, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, excellent writing/grammatical skills, and reading comprehension.
    • Excellent technical writing comprehension and performance
    • Ability to conduct research on numerous websites
    • Ability to comply with outlined directions
  • Must possess a keen eye for detail within editing/formatting.
  • Knowledge of and working with contracts
    • Milestone compliance, and technical comprehension.
  • Must possess good research skills for daily research of future contractual opportunities
  • Able to organize and coordinate a heavy workload of overlapping priorities and deadlines.
  • Utilize an aggressive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to work professionally and reliably under tight deadlines.
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects with changing priorities as they arise.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements with little notice.
  • Skilled in exercising sound judgment, effective decision-making, and the ability to think outside the box
  • Sensitivity to international cultures and different time zones
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and an effective team player.
  • Flexible to work after office hours and on weekends when needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferably in Business or Marketing
  • Bilingual – Spanish/English
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience
