You'll be representing Air France-KLM in the United States and working closely together with Delta Airlines.

Job Function:

The Business Development Manager works closely together with Delta and is the main interface for the central region. As Delta is responsible for the sales of Air France and KLM in the USA, this position is crucial to guarantee solid knowledge and understanding in the Delta sales team of the Air France and KLM products and services, and to keep the Air France and KLM brands top-of-mind. This role also provides support to the sales teams in case of need. The Business Development Manager role is pivotal as he/she is based in the Delta office and interacts with the Delta Sales Teams on a daily basis to build a bridge between AF and KL USA and the Delta sales team in the Central Region

The Business Development Manager, Central Region has five main responsibilities:

· Be the Air France - KLM (AF-KL) “go to expert” for the Delta (DL) region linked to all trade & corporate subjects. Support the DL Sales regional organization in their sales and sales development of AF-KL operated flights. Provide AF-KL Product & services training to trade, corporate customers and the DL sales teams alike.

· Represent AF-KL towards trade and corporate clients in the region - in close cooperation with DL.

· Contribute to the performance management cycle of region within various Joint Venture platforms in order to identify opportunities and threats and steer the business

· Cooperate with the AF-KL marketing team in their activities in the Central Region and execute partnership actions for key AF-KL clients (and also DL call centers)

· Steer and oversee the performance of Central US, including gateways like ORD, DEN, DFW and IAH. Specifically focus on high yield / premium traffic, involve top agencies and improve Corporate Share Gap.

Job requirements:

- Bachelors Degree in Sales, Business or other related field is preferred

5+ years of experience required in:

o Sales or sales development

o Pricing or revenue management

o Trade and corporate marketing

o Airline or travel industry experience is a plus

Demonstrate strong commercial and communication skills including:

§ Manage multiple stakeholders / effective team player

§ Technical proficiency in:

o Microsoft Office products and Reporting tools required

o Basic knowledge of reservation systems and ticketing are helpful (Amadeus)

o Skills in AFKL reporting tools (Delorean, Monet) a plus

o GDS (Altea) reservation skills is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
