BUSINES S DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Trinidad Tissues Limited (TTL) is seeking a suitably qualified national for the development and execution of a sales strategy for consumer tissue products in Puerto Rico.

Trinidad Tissues Limited (TTL) is a manufacturing company with registered offices at Lot C, Lennox Yearwood Expressway,
O’Meara Industrial Estate, Arima, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The company was established in 1978 and has become one of the largest paper converters in the English-speaking Caribbean. The company has built strong brands that are top of mind with consumers and continues to provide quality products in the personal hygiene and home-care categories.

Description of Services

The Contractor will provide to the Company the following services:

1. Increase the company’s sales through the development and execution of a sales strategy for consumer and institutional tissue products in Puerto Rico.

2. Business Planning: Prepare and deliver the annual sales and trade investment budget.
3. Deliver the Gross Profit objectives of the assigned territory.
4. Define the price strategy in the market based on competitive analysis.
5. Have working knowledge and focused relationships with Key Accounts, Puerto Rico’s Distributors, Retail trade customers and Institutional customers.
6. Closely monitor and visit the company’s existing retail customers, wholesalers and distributors to evaluate their distribution strength and develop and execute plans aimed at growing sales in their respective markets.
7. Manage distributors’ stock levels to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
8. Assess the current competitive market situation in the assigned territory, recommend and assist with the implementation of action plans to improve Trinidad Tissues’s market share and distribution.
9. Grow sales by increasing the customer base in new and existing markets including HORECA, and Downtown

(DDT) wholesalers’ trade. Make recommendations to Management for the addition/replacement of Wholesalers,
Distributors and Retail Stores as may be required.

10. Responsible for KPIs, results and action plans including the status of planned projects, return on promotional investment

11. Submit daily/weekly/monthly KPI reports to guarantee that we measure and meet and/or exceed the budgeted sales performance in a profitable way.

12. Routine trade audits which translate into reporting data and business building opportunities to distributor and TTL senior management. Create market visit reports highlighting all key opportunities and issues, decisions taken, and next steps required.

13. Recommend and implement promotional initiatives tailored to the markets, roll-out product innovations to distributors and their sales teams and monitor cost and effectiveness of promotional activities against target.

14. Manage customers with a view to ensuring that they: a) Distribute and Sell the full range of products available from the company b) Receive their orders on time c) Settle all receivables in accordance with their payment and credit terms d) Increase and consolidate their penetration of specific channels and sectors for example Health/Education e) Prepare and deliver the annual sales budget

15. Maintain frequent and regular communication (email, telephone, skype) with Export Leader – Hispanic and the
Director - Commercial as well as other senior Company officials, as required.

Education & Experience

  • A First Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a sales/marketing environment with at least two in the FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience in sales and distributor needs, providing solutions based on customer needs.
  • Knowledge of pricing analysis, forecasting and brand competitors.
  • Advanced user level in MS Office Excel and Power Point.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $51,228.34 - $61,694.35 per year
