Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain Team, as a Business Group Leader. The Business Group Leader is an integral part of Mativ’s Supply Chain team, providing leadership in Supply Chain interdependencies for a key business group. This results-driven supply chain leader will drive sales growth and supply chain effectiveness for the business through management of the demand plan and inventory optimization, serving as a primary subject matter expert for the supply chain. This role will proactively identify and solve complex business issues and present those solutions to the leadership team, continually driving for improved business results.

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Consultant

• Manage Supply Chain interdependencies between the General Manager, Sales and Marketing Team, Planning, Procurement, Operations, and Customer Service for the business group.
• Be subject matter expert relative to the Supply Chain, identifying and proactively solving for changes in customer demand, seasonality, and production capacity (both internal and external).
• Recommend and present Supply Chain business solutions to team leadership, demonstrating expertise in demand planning, inventory and sales trends, product changes, and production capacity.
• Build relationships with cross-functional leaders within the business and collaborate to drive innovative Supply Chain solutions for the business and continual improvement.
• Define “success” for the Supply Chain, ensure we are measuring what matters to the Customer and modifying strategy to deliver the gold standard in service.
• Create, maintain, and continuously improve visual dashboard of business group KPI’s, creating initiatives to optimize results.

Demand Planning

• Create, manage, and maintain the demand plan for the business group, using SCP Cloud demand software, sales data, customer project plans, and customer feedback, working jointly with Sales/Marketing to create a forecast that provides for a service platform that exceeds customer expectations.

Supply Planning

• Be the “internal owner” of the business group’s inventory, maximizing product availability for key customers while driving down working capital costs, ensuring the appropriate products are expedited and prioritized in production.
• Drive solutions for issues with out-of-stock products, customer product needs, and other issues as they arise.
• Generate work and purchase orders as an input into the tactical planning process

Project Management

• Project leader for packaging transitions, with ability to lead and collaborate with a cross-functional team
• Manage the New Item, Discontinued Item, and Item Change process
• Develop, maintain, and drive process improvements for Mativ’s MRP system

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management and/or related field preferred
• 3-5 years’ experience in a demand planning or Supply Chain leadership role
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Holistic and proactive approach to project management
• Ability to influence change with demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex problems as well as taking new perspectives on existing solutions
• Ability to excel working independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with high personal drive, receiving minimal guidance
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Champion of Process Improvement and Change Management

Preferred:

• Demonstrated ability to lead functional project teams is a plus.
• CPIM certification and SQL experience is a plus
