Overview:
World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Business Services Coordinator.

Major Function
WWF works with the business community to drive positive environmental change and has partnerships with 200+ leading companies on engagements spanning from sustainable commodities, science-based climate targets and watershed management, to reducing the impact of packaging and single-use plastics. The Business Services Team supports WWF’s Private Sector Engagement team in following clear processes to develop corporate engagements that optimally benefit our conservation objectives while managing and mitigating risks to the organization. The primary function of Business Services is designing and implementing an integrated system of processes and business functions that support corporate engagement at WWF and ensure efficiency, accountability, transparency, and consistency. The Business Services Coordinator plays an integral role in this effort by coordinating a variety of activities across multiple businesses and liasing with our valued corporate partners.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of tasks and functions related to corporate engagement, including tracking open pledges, issuing payment requests, establishing donor intent for corporate gifts, and enrolling in corporate supplier systems.
  • Drafts personalized acknowledgment communications for corporate philanthropy supporters, recognizing their contributions to WWF in a timely manner.
  • Tracks corporate fundraising and corporate engagements.
  • Collects, organizes, enters, and audits data in multiple data systems.
  • Documents and maintains corporate engagement processes and orients WWF staff to appropriately utilize the established systems of operation.
  • Designs and manages a centralized documents management system.
  • Maintains the corporate due diligence inventory and library, together with the PSE Research Team.
  • Collaborates with the PSE Communications team by assisting in the production of corporate engagement reports, generating customized mailing lists for communications efforts, and providing training and guidance to source information from our multiple data systems.
  • Supports corporate prospect management.
  • Supports the finalizing and assembling of proposals and report submissions for the corporate community.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant work experience) and minimum 2 years’ professional work experience required.
  • Residing in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; experience writing donor communications preferred.
  • Extreme attention to detail in all aspects of work and organization.
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines while working independently and coordinating information and communications across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative and accountability.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Non-profit or development experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of conservation or international development issues preferred.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint
  • Proficiency in a Customer Relationship Management system.
