We specialize in providing technical recruitment and staffing services to industry and government in all areas of Engineering, Information Technology, and a broad range of other technical disciplines.
In support of our client, a global automotive supplier, we are searching for a contract CAD Drafter/Designer with some structural experience to join their team located in Smyrna, TN. This is a long-term multi-year project-based opportunity.
Job Description:
- In this role, the selected candidates will provide CAD support for the engineering department in a manufacturing facility. This person will ideally have experience providing drafting support across different disciplines. Structural (mezzanines, hoists, overhead conveyor support, etc.). Mechanical (Updating mechanical system drawings).
- Candidates will complete drawing tasks within scope, budget and schedule and provide design assistance to other Designers and Engineers as needed.
- Will utilize Inventor to create 3D models from 2D drawings and field reverse designs and complete modeled details for manufacturing.
- Ability to read assembly/details and provide design studies and CAD data checks required.
Required Skills:
- AS degree or drafting certificate equivalent
- CAD Requirements- Minimum 3 years’ experience, AutoCAD experience required; beginner to intermediate Inventor 3D design experience, RISA structural software experience is preferred.
- Ability to read assembly/details and provide design studies and CAD data checks required.
- Experience with commercial, municipal, and industrial design projects is a plus.
- A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, including both written and verbal communications.
