Bakers/Cake Decorators working at Cafe L'Ami will be responsible for baking and decorating the various pastries and goods on the Cafe L'Ami menu.
CAKE DECORATOR
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain an organized work area
- Mix various ingredients to create fillings/creams for cakes/tarts/pies
- Cutting various fruits for decorative purposes
- Decorating cakes to meet store standards
- Icing various types of cakes
- Prepare daily store and custom-ordered cakes based on customers’ preferences
- Receive and organize stock
Job Qualifications
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work/communicate efficiently as a team-member
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous experience as a baker/cake decorator or similar role is required. (Cafe L'Ami is willing to train inexperienced applicants on baking and cake decorating skills).
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
