Camp Wiltmeet is in New Paltz, NY 12561.
Season: 6/26/23-8/18/23. Mandatory training dates TBD in June 2023. Partial season commitment can be discussed, though full season commitment is preferred.
Hours: 8:45 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, no camp July 4.
Counselors must be at least 16 years of age per Department of Health regulations.
Hourly rate: $15
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervises a group of children.
- Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.
- Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
- Attends staff meetings and training.
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
- Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff. Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions.
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings.
