General Description:
Under the Director of Campus Operation’s supervision, the Campus Store Keeper is responsible for Inventory accounting and property management operations at the campus level, which includes acquisition, receiving and distribution, accountability, reporting, storage utilization, and disposal processing of surplus property; daily postal service operations (USPS & intercampus); providing inventory support to the DCO office with the administration and maintenance of electronic Property Control Forms and Inventory Management Systems.

Duties and Tasks:
  • Operate Campus Storeroom and ensure adequate coverage to assist personnel at the campus level during hours of operation.
  • Perform daily receiving and distribution of all parcels, mail, intercampus and intra-campus correspondence, assist colleagues with mailing and shipping needs
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory and conduct annual and semi-annual inventory
  • Assist Colleagues and Surplus Officer with surplus college property by properly utilizing electronic Property Control forms, maintaining accurate counts of declared surplus property, moving, storing, warehousing the surplus property
  • Support campus moves by lifting, carrying, and moving furniture, files, and objects.
  • Operating vans, box trucks, dollies, forklifts, etc.
  • Support Auxiliary Department by servicing the printer program daily
  • Ordering storeroom supplies and paper as needed
  • Other duties as directed


Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.



KSA's/Required Qualifications
KSA’s:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of general storeroom operations and safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply rules and regulations as required.
  • Customer service skills with the ability to provide solutions.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, spreadsheets and automated inventory systems is required with demonstrated sharpness in learning new systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills with the ability to analyze data.
  • Knowledge of standard operating moving equipment such as dollies, lifts, box trucks, etc.
  • Able to lift in excess of 75 pounds and move heavy objects such as office furniture, files, boxes, and electronic equipment
  • Able use handtrucks, dollies, lifts


Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent,
  • Some experience in postal and inventory operations or equivalent applicable experience or training,
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Higher Education, preferably Community College experience.
  • Pervious experience managing a storeroom/distribution unit.
  • Experience in logistical support. OSHA Powered Material Handling Equipment License, or ability to obtain same.
