Job Summary
- The Smith Union Cashier is a front of the house, customer facing role at Jack Magee’s Grill.
- The primary responsibilities for this role is taking food orders from customers and operating computerized cash registers
- Additional responsibilities may include wiping off counters and tables, ensuring condiments are stocked, and occasionally helping to wash and put dishes away.
- Hourly rate for this position is $17.50/ per hour
Education/Skills Requirements
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to consistently follow both verbal and written directions
- Must be able to perform simple math
- A strong customer service background and a positive, friendly, helpful attitude is required.
- Our ideal candidates must be able to work well independently, in addition to working in a team setting.
- Must demonstrate good personal hygiene practices.
- A strong customer service orientation with positive, friendly, helpful attitude
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
Preferred:
- Some experience in a commercial food service establishment but willing to train the right candidate.
Standard Work Days and Hours
- This position is a part-time, non-benefits eligible role.
- Hours are from 10:30am to 3:00 pm on Monday and 11:00 am – 3:00 pm Tuesday through Friday.
