Position Title: Program Director/Team Lead
Department: Community Action Team
Reports to: VP of Outpatient Services
Pay Range: $73,000 - $78,000 (depending on experience)


Position Summary:

This mid-level management position oversees two Community Action Treatment teams and function as the Director and Lead for the third team that serve youths and families where youths are at risk of removal from the home due to mental, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. The role of the director is to ensure that the program s/he oversees is adequately and consistently staffed, is managed in accordance with professional and/or contractual, regulatory or legal standards and center policy/procedure, and performs to the level specified for that unit in the annual plan and/or budget. The work requires knowledge of clinical and supportive services for youths and families, and ability to coordinate and facilitate the work of an interdisciplinary team that includes a psychiatrist or ARNP, nurse, therapists, case managers, and therapeutic mentors. The work requires the use of independent judgment and initiative in carrying out day-to-day duties and responsibilities and is performed under the direct supervision of a Vice President position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling. Current active license to practice in the State of Florida required. Five years' experience working with population served.
  • ** Must be able to type at least 27 wpm on prescreen assessment and score at least 65% on general assessment.

Drivers Requirement:
Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements.
In order to qualify as a Center Driver, the candidate must at least 21 years of age and have an active Florida Driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed for eligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years and no major violations during the past 5 years. Drivers over 65 years old must provide a current doctor's note stating they have no driving limitations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Direct the day-to-day clinical operations of the team
  • Hire, train, and supervise program staff, including completing performance reviews
  • Work with the team to initiate and maintain relationships, in coordination with CAT team, with law enforcement, human service agencies, formal/informal community resources, schools, and other entities referring or serving target population
  • Assist with monitoring & administering program budget
  • Complete required reports
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary staff team meetings according to the team model
  • Direct and coordinate the client admission, assessment, and treatment process
  • Provide clinical supervision to team members
  • Function as practitioner of clinical services as needed.
  • Ensure provision of services that are welcoming, co-occurring/complexity capable, and that use stage-matched and motivational interventions
  • Review and monitor documentation for timeliness and quality
  • Ensure program staff meets productivity and documentation expectations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Work with staff to be WRAP certified through LSF

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
