The Opportunity:
Branat Construction, LLC., based out of the Raleigh, NC area, is looking for multiple Cell Tower Climbers and Maintenance Technicians for its Apex, NC location. Successful candidates will climb and work on cell towers for the purpose of repairing and performing general tower maintenance under close supervision. Preferred applicants should possess at least 3-5 years of experience and have a working knowledge of cell tower maintenance and repair work. Will train on location. Applicants need to be prepared to travel with overnight stays, occasional weekend work, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

The Cell Tower Climber/Technician is in charge of the following duties and responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain cell phone towers
• Follow detailed protocols, industry & OSHA standards to ensure crew safety
• Inspect towers for safety and structural stability per TIA standards
• Install modifications to upgrade existing tower components which include:

✔ Decom existing appurtenances
✔ Specialized rigging practices, gin pole, and occasional crane work
✔ Tower foundation repairs and upgrades
✔ New site builds & tower stacks
✔ Tower Ops work – tree clearing, fence repairs, access road repairs
✔ Broadcast work – Opportunity to work at heights exceeding 1,000’

Job requirements

• Must be able to climb 1000ft and not be afraid of heights
• Tower Rescue Training, OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR training preferred
• Developed skills in tower rigging
• Proficient use of hand tools; with the ability to learn to use power tools
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and learn industry standards
• Ability to document and photograph all work performed each day
• Capability to make decisions in the best financial interest of the company
• Ability to communicate effectively with crew and management
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to undergo a background and drug screen is required
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
