Central Fill Program Manager-Position can be located in Chicagoland or Dallas.

Job Summary

The Central Fill Program Manager leads the management of large projects, collaborating with multiple teams under limited direction. Responsible for executing strategies pertaining to the building and operation of multiple Central Fill Pharmacy sites. Provides general guidelines and parameters for teams and workstreams supporting projects; having responsibility for tactical and operational planning; and supervisory and budgetary responsibility (expense, assets, production, project). Subject matter expert for Pharmacy Operations on processes, procedures and systems related strategies associated with the rollout of Central Fill support to the field.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages medium to large projects related to Central Fill Pharmacy under limited direction, identifying risks or issues, communicating to team and business owners effectively and efficiently to drive results
  • Creates and implements plans to ensure for the effective rollout of Central Fill services as well as future related system enhancements and processes, procedures associated with same.
  • Ensures quality and timeliness of project results. Ensures established budget is adhered to based upon project requirements. Identifies opportunities and correction of errors to ensure efficiency and mitigate exposure.
  • Performs and coordinates day-to-day activities to meet objectives. Develops mastery in Central Fill and generalist knowledge of broader functional areas in Centralized Services.
  • Collaborates and communicates with other areas of products, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and internal, cross-functional project teams.
  • Works with analytical tools to deliver data analysis to develop, enhance and maintain Central Fill support to the stores.
  • Contributes to, participates in, and supports continuous improvements and advancement efforts for Central fill.
  • Develops an understanding of KPIs and targeted strategies that will drive results.
  • Participates in the development of new programs and enhances current programs to meet performance objectives.
  • Manages teams, including individuals who report to other functions, who are responsible for multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepares standard and ad hoc management reports and presentations for assigned projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and indirectly managing teams across business units.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization, such as peers, internal/external stakeholders, business partners, senior level managers.
  • Experience resolving conflicts within a team as issues arise.
  • Experience managing projects to completion.
  • Knowledge of business practices as related to specialty area, such as IT, HR, eCommerce, Logistics, Inventory, Pharmacy Operations, etc.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of experience of direct leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 45% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Documented completion of a project management training course preferred. (PMI endorsement preferred)
  • Experience applying project management methodologies and practices, including developing a project plan, including charter, scope, project management approach and management plans, such as the statement of work, cost estimates, schedule, etc.
  • Experience presenting and reporting on project plans to appropriate stakeholders, executives, and senior management.
  • Experience utilizing project management software and other standard project management scheduling tools, such as MS Project and Planview, etc.
