Job Description and Qualifications:


This position within IG Americas Central Sales South has responsibility for managing a portfolio of approximately 150 accounts and $14-$16MM in annual revenue.


Looking for a professional with a positive attitude and focus on innovation to lead all facets of the sales process from wallet share growth, preparing, and presenting proposals to contract and pricing negotiations needed to maintain and grow existing business.


Responsibilities also include ensuring customer retention through an enhanced relationship focused on having an external focus by proactive account management resulting in flawless operation and execution. We are looking for a person who demonstrates a passion to be the best in the industry.


Responsibilities include:

  • Existing Customer Account Management-Managing Customer Relationships, Customer Value Creation, Wallet Share Growth, Profit Management, Driving Cost Recovery.
  • Interface with Product Manager and the broader customer facing organization.
  • Success in this position requires good time management and organization skills.
  • Adept at working in a matrixed organization and to collaborate with other sales and marketing professionals within the South region and Air Products’ broader organization.
  • There is a high degree of emphasis on meeting established business targets in a challenging, competitive environment.
  • The position works closely with IG Field Sales Representatives to jointly drive the continued success of the Inside/Outside selling model.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree required
  • Self-starter with strong desire to succeed in a complex internal and external environment
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work and prioritize
  • Ability to work as part of a larger selling team
  • Financial acumen
  • Commercial industrial gas selling experience a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of industrial gas contract language and negotiations
  • Understanding of Liquid Bulk business, offerings and equipment is preferred
  • Responsive and detail oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work cross functionally
  • Limited travel required: 1-2 trips per year to North Region (US customer) base and 1-2 trips per year to Sales Meetings
