$16-$20/hour depending of experience

Select Physical Therapy is looking for a Full time Centralized Scheduler responsible for scheduling our patients for therapy throughout an assigned region.

Candidates should have excellent computer skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. We're looking for someone who is patient focused with

strong customer service skills, professional communication skills, accute attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and process improvement.

• Work as a team to ensure office is working efficiently and that all calls are made in a timely way to potential patients and referral sources.
• Ensure patients are scheduled within 72 hours.
• Successfully meet call goals while managing 40-50 calls per day.
• Responsible for accurate medical procedure scheduling.
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members regarding the date and time of visit, visit expectations, facility directions and web address to access New Patient paperwork.
• Request accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam.
• Provide instructions and specific preparations to the individual scheduling the procedure.
• Review and evaluate scheduled appointments for completeness.
• Assist with pre-registration process by obtaining demographic information and insurance information.
• Receive Physician orders and schedule procedures by both telephone and electronic media.
• Obtain provisional diagnosis, Physician orders and patient history to substantiate the requested treatment.
• Communicate scheduling concerns to the Center Manager or market leader.
• Communicate scheduled appointments with team members at the center and scan supporting documentation.
• Place calls to patients for rehabilitation scheduling for pre-surgical appointment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Credentials:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years’ experience in Healthcare field dealing with customer service.
• Excellent telephone skills are a must, as is a strong computer and technological background.

Preferred Credentials:

• Associate or Bachelors degree preferred, OR 2 years experience in similar role.
• Industry Specific Customer Service Certification.
• Written and oral communication skills at multiple levels.
• Professional telephone skills.
• Strong computer and technology skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
• Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.
• Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
• Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling.
• Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws.
• Ability to independently lift twenty-five (25) pounds of weight.
