Position: Ceramic Studio Assistant
Start pay: $20-$22/hr. based on experience.
Seeking to hire ceramic studio assistant. Ideal applicant has experience in operating and maintaining a professional ceramic studio and is a working artist themselves. Working and/or education background in ceramics required. Candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, has experience in customer service, and enjoys a working in a creative environment.
Responsibilities include:
-Maintaining the needs of the studio and studio patrons
-Familiarity with studio programs and procedures
-Loading and unloading kilns
-Maintaining kiln furniture and shelves
-Mixing glazes
-Recycling clay
-Maintaining a clean and safe environment
-Helping in assisting and teaching group and private classes
Flexible schedule, PFL, Access to the studio to make and sell work, wonderful community of staff and patrons, opportunities to propose your own programing
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
