Our 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility has been the trusted partner for those in need of care since its original founding in 1850. It is a non-profit, non-sectarian residence, dedicated to getting it's residents a higher quality of life.
Methodist Home For Nursing and Rehabilitation has openings for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on a Per Diem basis for all shifts.
Requirements:
· Possess NYS CNA Certified Nursing Assistant License
· 2-3 years nursing home experience as a CNA
· Must be flexible working all shift, including weekends
· Ability to build rapport with patients
· Compassionate and caring demeanor
· Ability to work well in teams
· Ability to read, write and comprehend English
· Ability to take a lead role; set positive role image and mentor associates as needed
· Strong customer orientation to older adults
· Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
Responsibilities:
· Provide patient care under direction of nursing staff
· Provide companionship and basic care to patients
· Maintain a clean and healthy environment
· The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.
