Certified Pharmacy Technician Job at PrimeCare Medical, Inc.
PrimeCare Medical is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Pharmacy Technician to work in the medical department at the Dauphin County Prison in Harrisburg, PA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accountability and detailed inventory for pharmacy medications and supplies
- Providing strict confidentiality of pharmacy information at all times
- Working under the supervise of the HSA reorder
- Maintaining a neat and well organized pharmacy medications and supplies, if applicable
- Typing of various reports, letters and memoranda
- Answering the telephone and processing calls
- Reporting any issues with missing pharmacy medications and supplies medications
- Assisting with quarterly Pharmacy inspections
- Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated.
Job Requirements
The Pharmacy Technician is a fast paced position and as such we must have someone who has the ability to multi-task. In addition, the Pharmacy Technician must hold a current up to date certification as a Pharmacy Technician to practice in the state in which the facility is located.
Other requirements include:
- Graduate of a Certified Pharmacy Technologist Program, preferred
- One (1) year experience as a pharmacy technologist, preferred
- Working knowledge of all pharmaceutical equipment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products & computer skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Working knowledge of office practices and procedures, English, spelling and math.
