We are currently seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Tech - SPD to work within one of our Highly Reputable Hospitals USC Keck Medical Center located in the Los Angeles, CA area. This is a rewarding opportunity for those who are seeking a new challenge and want an opportunity to grow professionally. Please review the following information below:
Sterile Processing Technician - SPD Requirements and Duties:
- Competitive Pay: $32
- At least 1 year of Sterile Processing Experience within a hospital setting.
- Must be able to work the 11 pm Shift
- Reprocesses and assembles specialized instruments and equipment, e.g., cleaning instruments/equipment, preparing them for sterilization, sterilizing trays and instruments.
- Maintains the instruments to ensure high performance during surgical procedures.
- Inspects/tests the performance of specialized instruments and equipment; lubricates items in accordance with designated cleaning and instrument preparation instructions.
- Sets up case carts for surgical procedures.
- Ensures correct inventory and restocks equipment and supplies as needed. Assists with the preparation of equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Operates/troubleshoots equipment used for job functions seeks assistance as needed; reports hazardous conditions, malfunctioning equipment, accidents, or other incidents to the immediate supervisor.
