ICE is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for the position of Chief Operating Officer . In this role, you will be responsible for provincial operations and supervision of senior management.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Overseeing and providing leadership in agency operations
- Facilitation of high-level communication with stakeholders
- Agency wide risk identification, mitigation, and evaluation
- Performance audits and quality monitoring
- Supervision of management employees
- Managing service issues and communicating results to stakeholders
- Conducting and/or participating in all aspects of client intake processes
- Completing and/or directing critical incident investigations
- Hiring and termination of employees
- Budget submission
- Crisis management and afterhours emergency response
- Degree in Human Services or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management/supervisory position, preferably in human service or related field
- Experience working with marginalized groups
- Advanced knowledge of disability services industry
- Experience in business management
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and complete large-scale planning
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management and health and safety systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated conflict resolution/mediation skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team
- Strong computer skills
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector required
- Experience in government relations
- Experience in similar sized company
- Experience in critical incident investigations
- Knowledge of disability services workforce
- Thorough understanding of or education in working with Indigenous communities
