We have an immediate opening for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in children and teens. The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management.

This position is split between our offices at THH Pediatrics in Germantown, MD, and Metropolitan Pediatrics in North Bethesda, MD.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $125,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Performs psychiatric evaluations.
  • Develop treatment and medication plans
  • Provides behavioral health consultations with patients and their families.
  • Prescribe appropriate psychiatric medications to clients
  • Monitor effectiveness and impact in conjunction with psychologists and pediatricians
  • Consult with pediatricians and the mental health team on treatment decisions

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting quality expectations of accuracy, and completeness, and is responsive to feedback.
  • Meets timeliness expectations of completing work as scheduled, demonstrating self-paced performance, and adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Professionally relates to patients, families, and peers at all times.
  • Participates in regular staff meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certification required
  • Active DEA license
  • Master's degree in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of medical and behavioral health providers
  • Child and teen experience
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment
  • Three years of experience is a plus
