We are working with the largest bio-ammonia and bio-methanol producer in North America. They are looking to bring on an on-site Civil Engineer to support a large multi-billion dollar project that includes constructing a blue ammonia, carbon capture and biofuels refinery in an existing industrial facility in Beaumont, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a member of cross-functional project team to oversee the execution of large projects through all phases until construction completion.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant codes, including ASCE, ACI, AISC, AWS, PIP, etc.
• Construction experience in concrete and steel structures including foundations. Design of civil infrastructure including roads, outfalls, retention ponds and site layouts.
• Experience with different design loadings including seismic, dynamic, static, wind, and temperature. Experience in dynamic foundations and vibrations.
• Review contractors civil/structural calculations and drawings, including layouts, underground piping, foundation plans and details, steel plans and details.
• Review and comment on vendors equipment, technical drawings, schematics, or calculation reports.
• Develop scope of work for geotechnical and topographical investigations. Review the reports issued by geotechnical and topographic consultants.
• Site installation verification to ensure the construction is following the drawings and specifications.
• Contemplate civil and structure NCR, follow up on resolution between the engineering contractor and construction contractor in a timely manner.
• Respond to RFI’s raised from construction and engineering contractors.
• Familiar with plant layout and 3D model reviews.
• Recommend civil and structural design solutions.
• Review and provide input to change orders related to the civil structural discipline.
• Review and comment on scope of works and schedules.
• Review and comment on project specifications related to the civil structural discipline.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years' experience in oil and gas or chemicals industries in design and construction phase
• Knowledge of civil engineering systems
• Heavy field experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
