Civil Engineer



MSK Engineers, a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm, is currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join our
growing team of professionals in downtown Bennington, Vermont, and other New England satellite office locations. This
role requires entry-level familiarity with designing and permitting residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal
projects of varying scope and scale, from initial feasibility studies through final construction-phase inspections and
testing. A strong work ethic and positive and professional demeanor are requirements for this position, and the
successful candidate must be willing to perform both in an office environment and in the field.

You’ll be provided with the chance to: 

Perform standard civil engineering design calculations (including but not limited to quantity and cost
estimation) 

Draft plans, specifications, and detailed drawings under the supervision of a senior project team member 
Prepare construction documents for submittal to clients, municipalities, agencies, and others as directed 
Perform construction phase engineering services, including field observation, resolution of contractor inquiries,

design advice, review of payment applications and change orders, and construction coordination 
Work independently and in a team environment on various projects and tasks, including stormwater,

wastewater, transportation, grading plans, utility connection design, and site development 
Develop reports and preliminary concepts and assessments

Here’s what you’ll need: 

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university 
EIT / FE Exam registration 
Ability to work independently or in a team environment 
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Basic knowledge of land survey and civil engineering terms and practices 
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, hydraulic/hydrologic stormwater modeling software

(HydroCAD or similar) 
Familiarity with construction standards and terminology
