The Stasis Center is considered a Permanent Supportive Housing Program and is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The apartments provide housing for individuals who were formerly homeless. The program is designed to encourage the mentally ill individual to develop independent living skills, maintain stable functioning, and to work toward economic self-sufficiency. The 16-unit apartment complex, with 24-hour staffing, assists individuals to learn daily living skills, money management skills, socialization skills, and how to access outside resources to help with return to work or school. Facilities include on-site staff offices and group training areas. All services are offered on a voluntary basis and are selected by the resident.

JOB SUMMARY

The Client Services Provider reports to the Program Director and is responsible for the supervision and monitoring of clients in a permanent residential program for chronically mental ill adults.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide supervision and monitoring of residents.
  • Ensure that residents comply with schedules.
  • Make written notes to document client behavior as per contract requirements for the program.
  • Document rounds, counts, and inspections on appropriate forms.
  • Answer the telephone and the door/gate.
  • Detect and implement appropriate behavior and incident reports and actions on client misbehavior and rule violations.
  • Provide crisis intervention.
  • Perform other resident monitoring activities.
  • Perform some filing and other general office duties.
  • Perform routine maintenance duties as needed.
  • Thinks and acts quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  • Comply with all Turning Point Safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to: workplace safety, reporting work related injuries, infection control and preventing potential safety risks for staff, clients and others.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at Turning Point. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Employees also are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours are disruptive and must be avoided.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certified training in emergency first aid procedures and CPR
  • Work effectively and professional with program clients and co-workers.
  • Detect and report resident rule violations as they occur.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Count and record census in the log.
  • Legibly, accurately and appropriately document communications, behaviors and routine facility events as they occur.
  • Visually observe resident population.
  • Perform perimeter checks.
  • Ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, general physical, and TB test.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required prior to employment.
  • Must maintain good relationships with current, future and past employees, co-workers, vendors, third party administrators, and others with whom the Agency is transacting business, and relate to them in a professional manner.
