A large Los Angeles Metropolitan Area Medical Center is seeking an Acute Care Clinical Nurse Educator to lead the educational growth of the nursing and clinical staff.
The Acute Care Clinical Nurse Educator will report to the Director of Nursing Education and will provide education, while also teaching best practices throughout the Medical Center. The Acute Care Clinical Nurse Educator will collaborate with departmental managers and directors to provide and schedule unit based education.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will focus on the following: orientation, competency program, in-service education, continuing education, career development / role transition and research.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will work throughout the medical center provided best practices and will focus on staff development and lead efforts related to the identification, implementation and evaluation of unit specific education, patient education and evidence - based practice.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will promote excellence in nursing as a resource and a role model of the Professional Practice Model: Center of Excellence for the Hospital staff members. The Nurse Educator will work as an advanced practice nurse who applies an expanded range of practical, theoretical, and evidence-based competencies to the dynamic and diverse patient care populations and environments within the Medical Center.
