The ICU Clinical Consultant carries much responsibility in the ICU. The responsibilities may include;
- Checking in on employees and be sure the department is meeting standards and needs
- Patient, family, and friends health education and consistent updates
- Physical assessments of patients to ensure proper functions of feeding tubes, ventilators, etc.
- Work collaboratively with PRN's and CNA's
An active California nursing license is required to be considered for the ICU Clinical Consultant opening with this facility, and previous RN experience at a community acute care facility is a plus. Alignment and knowledge of the facility and department goals being providing the finest care and service to patients while being part of the joint commission accreditation is an important factor to know as well.
