Enables families and individuals to have occupational, emotional, and social success by providing direct psychological and therapeutic services, keeping in mind their individual needs in intellectual, emotional, physical, and social domains. Oversees and provides assessment, counseling, consultation, crisis intervention, program evaluation, case management, and staff development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Training:

  • Requires a Master's Degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Family Therapy plus a documented supervised internship. A Doctorate is preferred.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license.
  • State Credential authorizing psychological and therapeutic services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • The position requires advanced specialized professional knowledge of principles and practices associated with human development and psychology in an clinical and therapeutic setting.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of current medical practice protocols and limitations relating to the specific accountability of this position.
  • Requires a working knowledge of personal computer operations including common office productivity software, internet, and computer-aided programs supporting assessment and evaluation.
  • Requires advanced human relations skills to achieve and maintain trust and cooperation with peers and clients, to deliver formal discussion with treatment groups, to resolve conflict, and to use advanced lines of inquiry to obtain personal information from clients.
  • Requires advanced math and interpretive skill to conduct and evaluate inferential and psychometric statistics.
  • Requires professional writing skills sufficient to write reports and correspondence that may be sensitive and have legal implications.
  • Requires the ability to carry out the essential functions of and objectives for the position.
  • Requires the ability to learn, interpret, and apply State, and Federal requirements for clinical and therapeutic treatments.
  • Requires the ability to perform diagnostic assessments, evaluations, and statistical analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Requires the ability to convert assessments and evaluations into treatment/therapy plans.
  • Requires the ability to relate well with a wide range of ages, human development, socio-economic, ethnic, and tribal cultures, and all levels of staff.
  • Requires the ability to present self in a professional manner to individuals, families, and staff.
  • Requires the ability to convey professional terminology to common language and formats that enhance understanding.
  • May require the ability to facilitate communications with individuals and families who speak languages other than English.

Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,637.00 - $115,722.00 per year
