Workfit Medical, LLC, a free standing Occupational Health and Urgent Care center, is seeking an experienced Clinical Worker's Compensation Specialist.

Job Summary:

Be the clinical point person for Worker’s Compensation cases including scheduling and administrative tasks associated with Workers Compensation department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the care of Workers Compensation cases
  • Maintain Workers Compensation files to ensure appropriate cases are open and closed with the proper procedure
  • Professionally communicate with all insurance adjustors through phone conversations, Scanning, Email and Fax correspondence
  • Be the main provider of Workers Compensation reception activities such as; answer phone calls, answer and research questions; schedule appointments; manage referral process
  • Check out patient paperwork and set up follow-up visit if required
  • Write variances and referrals
  • Scan or Fax disability documentation and status reports within ½ hour of visit to appropriate facility
  • Answer calls from clients
  • Follow-through on phone messages that need research and follow-up
  • Call and obtain pertinent information for patient charts and provider information
  • Retrieve reports, X-Rays, Tests, and referral notes for provider review
  • Prepare patient charts for the next day visits
  • Maintain, file and organize patient charts
  • Manage patient charts for depositions
  • Familiarize themselves with clients
  • Ensures 100% compliance with the WorkFit Medical Compliance Program and compliance with federal and state licensing requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Certifications, Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • HIPPA training preferred.
