About the Opportunity

The Commercial Account Executive leads the company’s efforts to maintain and expand relationships within a territory that includes, but is not be limited to, assigned core, national/government, and potential new customers. The Commercial Account Executive is responsible for achieving sales quotas and assigned strategic account objectives. The Commercial Account Executive represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned territory, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company. The Commercial Account Executive focuses on meeting and exceeding commercial sales plans, gross margin plans, customer service standards, performance, and operating procedures, and executing all commercial programs.

Responsibility

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with all key personnel in assigned market.

  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.

  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.

  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a period.

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.

  • Creates detailed business plans to reach predetermined goals and quotas.

  • Managing the entire sales cycle from finding a potential customer to capturing the order.

  • Unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and turning them into long-term partnerships.

  • Through a consultative approach, leads solution development efforts that best address prospect/customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

  • Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.

  • Closely coordinates manager involvement with customer management.

  • Works closely with Inside Sales to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of related experience in sales, customer service, direct marketing, pool trade, pool supply, chemicals, supply chain and/or distribution preferred

  • Previous experience in using data to enrich customer experience a plus

  • Intermediate in using Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license
