First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an analytical, collaborative, detail-oriented Commercial Banking Associate to join our Commercial Banking Group in Maite Banking Center. In this role, under the direction of the Commercial Banking Regional Manager, Market Manager or Team Leader, you will be responsible to provide client servicing, credit support for the Commercial Banking Team including the preparation of client correspondence, credit requests, financial analysis and loan administration. Assist in credit administration, along with the sale and servicing of related products and services. Emphasis on learning credit skills including financial analysis of business and personal income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow, risk ratings, and compliance.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and/or equivalent work experience including experience with business financial statements and accounting principles required.
• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• High degree of accuracy and neatness with excellent follow through.
• Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.
• Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• Good time management skills.
• Proficiency with use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
