JOB SUMMARY
This position reports to the General Manager and coordinates closely with the Trash and Recycle Route Supervisors, Customer Service Representative, and Drivers to ensure the orderly and efficient dispatch of transportation assets to ensure prompt and efficient execution of the daily scheduled routes. Ensures all crews complete their daily assigned routes, and coordinates special pick-ups and missed pick-ups, should they arise.

WORK HOURS
Monday thru Friday 9am - 6pm
Every other Saturday 9am - 12pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Schedules drivers/work orders. Communicates with Drivers and notes start times and estimated completion times. Ensures crews stay on schedule. Assist with Front Load Drivers schedule.
2. Operates radio and telephone equipment to receive and relay information to trash and recycling crews. Stays in periodic contact with crews throughout the day on a set schedule to keep abreast of any issues that may affect daily production.
3. Data entry is key in this position. Maintains a communications log listing deliveries and pulls, problem stops, equipment problems and breakdowns, service issues, and any other pertinent information regarding the operation per the contract.
4. Tracks and updates hours of service as crews complete their daily assignments and reports daily to the operations manager and GM.
5. Monitors, enters, and updates service calls throughout the day.
6. May confer with customers regarding special pick-ups, questions, issues or complaints, if any.
7. Reports to route supervisors and/or operations manager regarding any issues that impact the production of the route. Enter productivity/run reports daily including loading routes into route 4 me, Print routes, setup next day, reconcile routes.
8. Responsible for creating and summarizing daily operational reports, and any other reports as required. Assist in Roll off and trailer paperwork.
9. Immediately informs management of any accident or safety/compliance concerns.
10. Reports any customer relations issues, if any, to the general manager.
11. Assigns equipment to drivers.
12. Assist in scale operations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. A strong customer service focus and excellent customer service skills that meet the requirements of the company.
2. Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to carryout oral and written instructions.
3. Computer literacy, typing and calculator proficiency.
4. Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers, employees, managers, officials, and the general public.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1. A high school degree or equivalent plus 2 years of related experience, or any equivalent of training and experience that provides the preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities.
2. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
3. Working knowledge of MS Office products.
4. Previous experience in the waste industry is preferred.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
2. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
3. Ability to operate a phone system, radio or Nextel equipment, and a personal computer for long periods of time.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
