Job Summary

The Communications and Electronics Liaison provides maintenance operations support to all units/activities at or satellited on the installation and to units/activities participating in the National Maintenance Program (NMP) and those who have support agreements with the government. Support includes Field and Sustainment maintenance; piece part repair for selected electronic items (specialized repair); office automation equipment; maintenance of communication and electronic equipment; communication security (COMSEC) equipment and accomplishing new equipment maintenance.


Essential Functions:

  • Performs duties and responsibilities that are common to most supervisory personnel such as planning and scheduling work, assigning employees to tasks, maintaining discipline, prepares necessary reports, etc.
  • Accomplishes modification work orders (MWOs) and lessons learned to the government.
  • Monitors direct labor utilization rate for maintenance requests, work centers and repair personnel.
  • Directs the start of work within three (3) working days from the day of acceptance of the maintenance request.
  • Reviews performance of technical inspections, tests, measurements and/or diagnostic tests.
  • Reviews accomplishment of work by priority within established parameters.
  • Determines when on-site Field Sustainment maintenance is more economical than movement of equipment to repair shop.
  • Adjusts workload to accommodate individual unit readiness or training threshold.
  • Coordinates and provides maintenance support for all military exercises, contingencies, and deployments.
  • Responds to increases or decreases in the work requirements created by changes in the customer's mission.
  • Suggests ways of improving the support services provided to the installation and conducts timely interface with government counterparts concerning contract matters.
  • Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional area / process.
  • Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards, etc.
  • Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's) associated with assigned functional work areas / process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals
  • Adhere to government, contract, and company policies and procedures
  • Ability to use e-mail to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Management and Contract Compliance Plan, and workload requirements, etc.
  • Adhere to PTi quality, safety, and environmental standards


Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • The employee may be required to frequently handle equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort in the loading, unloading, and arranging of equipment/supplies as applicable to position
  • Ability to work inside and/or outside in dirty and dusty environments, and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, damp, and drafty weather conditions while handling equipment/supplies
  • Be able to perform work on hard or uneven surfaces


Qualifications

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory role similar in size and scope
  • Two years experience in maintenance field
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Skills:

  • Must demonstrate the ability to effectively read and write in English, and comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively.
  • Attention to detail and excellent follow up skills.

Certificate, License, Registration, etc.:

  • US Citizen
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance applicable to the position and/or military Common Access Card (CAC) within 30 days if required.
  • Completion of company mandated training applicable to position.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License


Education

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications

  • Military experience
