Position Title: Community Development Associate

Position Summary: A Community Development Associate is primarily responsible for recruiting utility attendees to participate in Endeavor Business Media’s wide variety of energy events and training opportunities in the energy portfolio. Events are curated business-to-business conferences that brings together utility leaders, decision-makers, and solution providers for multi-day opportunities to network, converse, and learn from each other. Training opportunities for Utility Analytics 101, 201, 202 and future courses are delivered virtual, or in-person professional development courses offered to utility professionals and solution providers interested in a deeper knowledge of utility analytics.

Job Functions: This position is expected to build relationships with utilities and solution providers to recruit attendee prospects in a consultative manner. Providing industry leaders information about the various events and trainings across phone and email, and build credibility, urgency, and enthusiasm. Additionally, you will also work in concert with the marketing, research, event operations, and sales teams to implement best practices for obtaining delegates to attend the Summits.

Education/Work Experience/Special Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially over the phone or in a virtual setting
  • Ability to consistently make outbound phone calls and maintain a pleasant, professional, and persuasive demeanor
  • Ability to work independently to manage workflow and work under pressure
  • Excellent time-management skills, whether day-to-day or during “crunch” time
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to travel throughout the year, 5% of the year
  • Background in sales, communications, customer service, live events, or marketing
  • Experience creating and modifying written copy
