POSITION: Housing Stabilization Specialist
SHIFTS: Full-time 40 hours during standard business hours.
LOCATION: This position offers a partial work from home option that will require applicants to commute throughout the metro to meet with clients, and the main office in Mendota Heights.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: The mission of this program and role are set on changing the lives of the individuals we serve through a choice-based, person-centered approach. As a Housing Stabilization Specialist, you will assist individuals with disabilities to obtain stable and affordable housing in the Twin Cities metro area. Common tasks completed by a Housing Stabilization Specialist include but are not limited to: meeting with clients to review progress made; assessing and overcoming barriers pertaining to housing navigation; identifying and accessing community financial resources; & establishing and developing client strengths and skills to maintain housing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Clear and consistent communication to connect with your clients and teammates.
- Managing time effectively and staying independently organized.
- Be able to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
- Work in a person-centered approach.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
- Have access to a working vehicle with valid auto insurance.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. or more.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE: A year of working with persons diagnosed with severe & persistent mental illness (SPMI), Developmental Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), Trauma Histories, and Chemical Dependency (CD) Histories.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School or equivalent.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field.
