Primary Purpose

Develops, implements and coordinates a variety of outreach and enrollment programs designed to identify under-served population segments and provide assistance for accessing services. Represents Franklin C. Fetter Family Health Center to a variety of community resources to increase awareness and promote support for comprehensive, sustained community programs designed and targeted to meet the primary health care needs of under-served South Carolina populations. Develops new collaborative efforts and partnerships to advance the mission of Franklin C. Fetter Family Health Center.

Essential Functions

Outreach and Partnership Development

  • Provides guidance and council regarding the Affordable Care Act and Health Benefit Exchanges to staff and patients.
  • Provides training to targeted audiences regarding public health care programs in the community to increase awareness of program eligibility requirements and services covered.
  • Demonstrates ability to apply to develop effective working relationships with a variety of individuals to gain support and interest in program’s objectives.
  • Demonstrates ability to apply knowledge of a variety of federal, state and local resources, programs and services involved with Outreach and Enrollment initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to use intermediate functions and features of the MSOffice suite including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direct supervision in the efficient and thorough completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, assignments and projects to meet established quality and time requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Complies and successfully completes all required and applicable federal and/or state consumer assistance training.
  • Demonstrates capacity to conduct “in reach” with current health center uninsured patients and “outreach” to non-health center patients regarding access to health coverage in their approved service areas.
  • Ability to build, structure and implement plans of success for the department and organization.
  • Ability to understand the mission and success plan of FCF and distribute that throughout the community.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • At least two years public/customer service experience
  • Community Outreach experience
  • Public speaking skills
  • Computer knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of surrounding areas
  • Ability to work in a group setting
  • Ability to maintain a strict schedule
