Compressor Mechanic Job at Riverside Operating
Description:
At least 1-year oil/gas industry experience strongly preferred. This is a W2, 40+ hour position, offering competitive wages and competitive benefits package including medical, dental and vision, 401K match, short and long term disability, company truck and company cell phone.
Responsible for:
- Maintenance – repairs, start-ups, overhauls, and preventative of natural gas compressors at RO locations for scheduled and unscheduled equipment inspections and maintenance
- Troubleshooting of Caterpillar engines (G300, G3500, G3400) and Ariel reciprocating compressors and rotary screw compressors – mechanical, electronic and technical
- Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Exposure to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, H2S, adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and cramped conditions (we will train you for confined space, hazmat and lock out tag out).
- Will have call-out rotation responsibilities; responds to emergency maintenance calls - travel is within northern Michigan
- Subject to applicable US Department of Transportation regulations and ability to meet state and federal regulations governing vehicle operations (chauffeurs license, DOT Medical Exam for Commercial Motor Vehicle)
- Required to live within a 20-60 mile radius of their reporting stations.
- Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card, pass pre-employment physical, drug, and background checks
- MUST have valid driver’s license (can obtain chauffeurs license post offer) and provide own hand tools up to 1 1/4"
- Must have technology and computer skills; ability to be proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to utilize iPhone or iPad apps
