THE POSITION
As Conceptual Store Designer, you will be an integral member of the Store Quality team, reporting directly to the VP Store Design. This individual will be an experienced and highly creative designer with the ability to conceptualize, create presentation level visualizations, refine and execute outstanding relevant store environments that align with our partners’ design strategy. The Conceptual Store Designer, as an integral part of the store design team, will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of our stores.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Store Design team on the retail store design process to design innovative retail spaces that meet company and venue partner design criteria. This designer must have working knowledge of, and ability to, read construction documents created by architectural and interior design disciplines.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising and construction project management team to ensure design intent is accurately interpreted in documents.
- Coordinate with Store Graphic Designers to ensure all environmental graphic needs are clearly communicated and supporting documentation is provided.
- Identify store space planning/allocation and fixturing opportunities to enhance the store appearance, extend the venue experience into the store that will result in positive business performance
- Identify and design fixtures to maximize store space allocation, functionality and drive sales.
- Collaborates with construction partners to maximize design intent while achieving budget goals
- Visit stores to evaluate design needs, and meet with venue partners to ensure a full understanding of partner needs
- Work closely with internal teams as needed
- Special projects as assigned
- Architecture, Interior Design, or Art Degree
- Proficient in 3D modeling/rendering software, Adobe Illustrator, experience with REVIT / AutoCAD is a plus
- Must have a strong grounding in design, design direction, project management, process development and cross-functional collaboration
- ability to create innovative designs of themed experiential interior space, experience designing retail spaces is a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines, and complete projects in a fast-paced retail environment
- Results oriented designer with the ability to identify areas for improvement
- Must be self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- While performing the duties of this job, the Store Designer is frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
