We are looking for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager, with a focus in structural and site concrete, who can efficiently navigate within the commercial construction industry.

DaSilva Concrete is an upcoming union commercial concrete subcontractor in the Bay Area. We are growing steadily and have a great backlog with large top-tier general contractors performing high-tech and commercial projects. The company is young and this position is entering at a time of strong growth.

You will be an integral part in ensuring that our pre-construction services run smoothly and are successful in supporting our general contractor clients. An excellent estimator is, above all, an organized and competent professional with phenomenal communication skills. You will be comfortable dealing with other project managers and estimators and able to carry out duties with accuracy and speed. The goal is to ensure our clients expectations are fulfilled, while managing risks properly by communicating with our experienced team at DaSilva Concrete.

Responsibilities

• Manage bid pipeline through Building Connected
• Take-offs and bid proposals
• Contract reviews and negotiations with contractor/client
• Change orders
• Communications with clients and our Superintendents regarding scope, potential impacts and risks

Skills

• Proven experience as an estimator with knowledge of concrete and reinforcing steel
• In-depth knowledge navigating/reviewing structural, architectural, civil and landscape drawings and specifications
• Understanding of commercial subcontracts and AIA forms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exemplary emails to GC clients and company staff
• Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Reliable with patience and professionalism, works well with others with understanding of the company as a team
• Ability to generate and develop processes and documents to facilitate proper correspondence and tracking methods to execute precon operations and assist with contract completion
• Spanish speaking is a plus
• Associate’s/College degree; BS/BA is preferred
