JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures work is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (safety, environmental, DOT, etc.) and internal policies.
  • Manages groups of Construction Specialist to safely and successfully complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Supports business unit's engineering group with project development including estimates, schedules, and commitment forecasts, etc.
  • Coordinates Project Management/Construction Specialist work load and makes all project assignments.
  • Performs some preliminary design, cost estimating, and project execution for infrastructure facilities including pipelines, measurement, compression, processing, etc.
  • Monitors the costs, execution and schedule of the projects and provides periodic feedback.
  • Participates in the development of engineering and construction standards, drawings, and map
  • Directs daily activity and provides technical assistance to Construction Specialist.
  • Performs and manages personnel activities of construction staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews, motivation, daily duties, etc.
  • Recommends and makes facility and procedural/process enhancements and improvements as needed or justified.
  • Creates and implements Construction Specialist training and development programs
  • Provides project status report to internal and external customers
  • Participates and/or leads teams and makes recommendations for business improvements.
  • Interfaces with other internal departments such as Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, System Control, etc.
  • Interfaces with customers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and public
  • Works with purchasing to ensure an adequate and qualified contract resource pool is available for project execution.
  • Other special project/duties as required.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • H.S. Diploma required
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
  • Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision
  • Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office Software
  • Regular and Reliable Attendance
  • Travel required to visit various job sites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Mapping/drafting software such as ESRI, AutoCad, XMap, Google Earth
  • Knowledge of basic accounting functions, particularly AFE and PO industry processes
