Overview:
Reports To: Brand Manager

Primary Functions:
Coordinate and implement effective member and employee communications, and campaigns in support of business line and enterprise objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as a member of working teams assigned to the creation and implementation of Alaska USA marketing campaigns.
  • Research, write, and edit content for marketing materials such as advertising, direct marketing, branch merchandising, events, brochures, publications, videos, web/online content, social media, public relations, sales materials, and other materials as assigned.
  • Align all marketing materials with Alaska USA's brand standards for voice, format, and grammar.
  • Follow through with all aspects of assigned projects including vendor coordination, documentation, content posting, regulatory compliance, quality control, and reporting/assessment of results.
  • Understand and adhere to established procedures for creating and disseminating communications. Draft updates to procedures as assigned.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Alaska USA's products, markets, and compliance requirements.
  • Initiate and participate in efforts to further Alaska USA's marketing and business objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: BA in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field.

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education:
Three years in a similar position.

Experience/Skills:
Three years experience in marketing communications, public relations, or advertising. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. Demonstrated abilities in project coordination and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to collect, research, understand and effectively communicate information to various target audiences.

Tenure:
Assignment to the Content Officer I category 11, Content Officer II category 10, or Content Officer III category 09 will be determined by the candidate's education or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's certifications and/or performance.
Compensation:
Content Officer I (Category 11):

Salary Pay Range:
$52,258 - $81,523 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
