The Contracts and Compliance Specialist has multi-functional responsibilities including reviewing contract terms, updating company policies, preparing and analyzing company reporting, and managing internal and external compliance processes.

Must be eligible to work in the US. No sponsorships are available at this time.

Essential Duties:

Commercial professional services vendor contract review and compliance

  • Review, edit, and resolve discrepancies in professional services contracts for compliance with legal and company guidelines for business to business
  • Manage executive contract signature process using software tools
  • Analyze organizational risk and recommend mitigation steps within contracts
  • Prepare and submit state and federal compliance program reporting
  • Develop standardized language and guidelines for contracts
  • Update existing contracts and templates

Corporate compliance

  • Administer company Compliance Programs through Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Oversee Affirmative Action Program including submitting necessary reports and reviewing documentation from AAP partner
  • Research and review regulatory updates related to employment and contract law
  • Manage state and federal agency portals and reporting
  • Maintain employment handbook and other company policies
  • Respond to and attend unemployment claims and hearings
  • Prepare internal company reporting
  • Manage I9 maintenance and compliance
  • Administer workers compensation program
  • Help drive internal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts
Requirements:
  • Keen attention to detail with proficient ability to detect errors and inconsistencies and potential areas of risk
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain detailed records
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and analyze data within Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong initiative and ability to work well with minimal direction
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work efficiently
  • Rudimentary knowledge of employment and contract-related legal requirements
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with people in varying levels within the company, including shareholders, external partners, managers, staff, and contract workers


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or finance with some legal, procurement or contracts administrative experience
  • Prior State or Local Government contracting or procurement experience preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in procurement, accounting, contract administration, or corporate law administration
  • Experience with Human Resource Management Systems HRIS: Paylocity or ADP preferred
