Overview

  • The Contract Manager will provide broad-based and thorough commercial contract management support to the CEO and Project Teams on the execution and bidding of new projects, including performance of various tasks and support of potential new projects.
  • The Contract Manager is responsible for managing the contracting process for sales, procurement, and non-sales engagements. At the direction of the CEO & Project Teams, the Contract Manager will review, negotiate, and manage all contracts, as well as oversee the overall contracting process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts including services, consulting, marketing, licensing, non-disclosure, data privacy, and other commercial and technology related agreements
  • Perform risk analysis review for all contractual documents and recommend mitigating options
  • Understand the Company and products in order to identify risks, develop solutions, mitigation and negotiation strategies
  • Input completed contracts into the contract management system and capture key terms
  • Proactive, dynamic and result driven individual with strong attention to detail.
  • Research opportunities within various city, state and federal database
  • Identify requirements needed in the project that we must have in order to submit a proposal
  • Prepare, process, manage and submit all procurement documents for existing government grants/contracts, and those pending renewal or amendment, including subcontracts
  • Distribute contract documents to appropriate agency staff to ensure timely delivery of critical contract/program information
  • Maintain and update all internal tracking charts on an ongoing basis
  • Collect, track, and maintain data and back-up information from programs needed for fiscal invoicing and program reports
  • Assist in the development and submission of reports and documents for bid responses/ proposals
  • Collaborate with program and support staff to ensure timely submission of documents and reports
  • Assist Contract Managers in various licensing and certification processes
  • Draft and prepare letter correspondence
  • Schedule and prepare documents, and collect data from tea
  • Upgrade to see actual informers who physically perform site visits, audits and meetings as requested
  • Attend and scribe meeting notes as needed
  • Manage government contracts reporting schedule; set report reminders; send regular reminders to program, fiscal and evaluation staff and follow up as needed to meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand business strategy and corporate opportunities
  • Ensure company standards are met
  • Daily and Weekly tasks may adjust based on the project needs
  • Any other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BA degree preferred
  • One-year related experience and familiarity with contracts, legal, bid writing and/or government opportunities required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required

Must be self-motivated, detail and deadline oriented with superb follow-up and prioritization skills

  • Must demonstrate ability to perform in a busy work environment during high volume periods
  • Must demonstrate professional writing skills and reading skills in English
  • Proven ability to communicate with staff at all levels
  • Must be able to work independently and in as a team
  • Minimum of 5 years of contracts drafting, reviewing and negotiation experience
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial, licensing and other technology-related agreements
  • Understanding of data privacy requirements
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to interface effectively with all business functions throughout the organization
  • Proactive, dynamic and result driven individual with strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and "self-starter" qualities enabling him or her to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency; the ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced & dynamic environment

  • Language & Communication:

o Good communication skills and ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions are also required

o Strong computer skills and familiarity with office software such as: Excel/Gmail/Other company software

o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of issues

o May require in-depth ability to read, interpret and explain situations

o Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment, often under strict time constraints

  • Physical Requirements:

o Sitting: Must be able to sit for a minimum of 4 hours

o Talking/Hearing: Must be able to communicate with employees

o Must have a private quiet space to work
