The Opportunity​​​​​​

The Controller is the manager in charge of all accounting functions for the local entity. This includes oversight of day-to-day accounting including cash management, financial budgeting, financial reporting, month-end closings, and banking requirements. This position reports directly to the President and has 2 to 3 direct reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting – CPA or MBA preferred
  • 8 years of Accounting Management within a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with standard costs systems, standard development, and costing for new proposals.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office and ERP software
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Current knowledge of federal and state accounting/tax laws is required
  • Senior-level experience with audit activities
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills are essential
  • Experience within a multi-lingual organization is preferred

Essential Job Functions (Job-Specific Knowledge/Skills)

  • Responsible for all areas of general accounting, tax activities, credit/collections, and cost accounting
  • Supervise accounting staff and their functions such as AP, AR, GL, banking
  • Responsible for all financial and legal reporting requirements for SCT-US
  • Responsible for maintaining the general ledger and cost accounting system
  • Month-end closing for SCT-US and providing timely financial reports to Group Controlling
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and general ledger accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Coordinate and prepare annual and quarterly budgets for the Profit/Loss Statements, Balance Sheet, and Capital equipment
  • Review all revenues, product costs, and expenses for reasonableness and investigate/account for deviations from budgets
  • Provide financial presentations to management staff explaining P&L report
  • Development of the cost accounting standards within the system
  • Coordinate and assist in any required financial audits
  • Maintain accrual accounts for SCT-US
  • Assist in special projects
